Kallirroi Georgila is a Research Associate Professor in the Thomas Lord Department of Computer Science at the University of Southern California (USC) and at the USC Institute for Creative Technologies. Her research interests include all aspects of speech and language processing with a focus on machine learning (including deep learning), particularly reinforcement learning of dialogue system policies, dialogue system evaluation, speech recognition, and expressive conversational speech synthesis. She has chaired and served on the organizing, senior, and program committees of many conferences and workshops. She has also served as Vice President of SIGdial (the Special Interest Group on Discourse and Dialogue), and currently she is an Associate Editor of the Dialogue and Discourse journal.
