About WiSE
In 2000, USC received a gift of $20 million to the University endowment to create the Women in Science and Engineering (WiSE) Program. The primary goal of the WiSE program is to contribute to equal opportunity in science and engineering in tenured and tenure-track faculty positions.
The gift enables the university to compete for highly regarded scientists and engineers and retain those who might be tempted to move elsewhere who are also committed to equal opportunity in science and engineering.
