I received my PhD in Chemical Engineering from the University of Queensland, Australia in 2003. I have been working in the Department of Biological Sciences at USC since 2007. My major research emphasis is on the responses of marine phytoplankton physiology and community structure to environmental change. My particular expertise is in the field of marine biogeochemistry, including the cycles of carbon, nitrogen, and iron in the ocean.
