Colette Fletcher-Hoppe, PhD Candidate in Marine Biology and Biological Oceanography
Colette Fletcher-Hoppe is a 5th year PhD candidate in Dr. Jed Fuhrman’s lab at USC. Her research combines ecology, genomics, and bioinformatics to investigate marine microorganisms and their spatial/ temporal diversity off the coast of Southern California. She is particularly interested in anthropogenic influences on nitrogen cycling organisms.

Maria Ruggeri, PhD Candidate in Marine and Environmental Biology
Maria Ruggeri is a 5th year PhD candidate in Carly Kenkel’s lab. She is interested in cnidarian-algal symbiosis and particularly the genetic and environmental factors that lead to maintenance of these partnerships under stress.
