Megan McCain
Megan L. McCain is the PI of the Laboratory for Living Systems Engineering, an interdisciplinary research group that engineers "Organ on Chip" models of human tissues for disease modeling and mechanobiology. Megan is a dedicated research mentor (as recognized by the WiSE Hanna Reisler Mentorship Award) and also teaches undergraduate and graduate courses on tissue engineering with hands-on lab experiences. Megan has received many recognitions, including selection as a Fellow of the American Institute for Medical and Biological Engineering (AIMBE) and the NSF CAREER Award. Prior to joining USC in 2014, Megan was a PhD student and postdoc at Harvard University and the Wyss Institute for Biologically Inspired Engineering.
